PA sheet extrusion line faces numerous challenges, stemming from both the inherent properties of the material and the complexity of the production process.
Material Properties
PA (polyamide) materials have high hygroscopicity, which can lead to unstable plasticization and performance degradation during processing. Furthermore, PA is prone to oxidation and degradation at high temperatures, requiring precise temperature control.
Complexity of the Production Process
The PA sheet extrusion line process involves extrusion and a three-roll forming process. A mold temperature controller is needed to maintain the stability of the roller temperature.
Specific Application Areas
PA sheets are used in many high-end fields, such as mobile phone back covers, VR/AR smart wearable devices, helmets, drones, and laptop exterior components. These applications have extremely high requirements for product quality and performance, indirectly increasing the difficulty of PA sheet production. For example, in the production of mobile phone back covers, the flatness of the sheet material is critical; even slight warping can lead to product defects. Therefore, the equipment must ensure that the produced sheets have extremely high flatness and smoothness.
