How to adjust the die before starting the sheet metal processing equipment?
First, we need to prepare the following tools: Allen wrench, feeler gauge, and torque wrench.
Rough adjustment of the die lip clearance: The theoretical value of the die lip clearance should be slightly larger than the target sheet thickness, usually 2 to 3 times, to compensate for thickness loss during subsequent traction and stretching.
Use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance at the left, center, and right positions of the die lip. Adjust the clearance at each point to the theoretical value by rotating the die lip adjusting bolt, controlling the error within 0.02mm.
For dies with a large width, segmented adjustment is required (each 50–100mm is an adjustment unit) to avoid excessive clearance deviation on one side.
