What are the characteristics of PA sheets?

2025-10-13

In industrial applications, PA sheet produced by PA sheet extruders is primarily used to replace metal and traditional plastics (such as PP and PE) in the manufacture of wear-resistant, load-bearing components, addressing the issues of "easy wear and short lifespan."

Machinery/Equipment Parts

PA sheet produced by PA sheet extruders is suitable for applications such as gears, bearing washers, guide rails, drive pulleys, and equipment protective panels.

Key Reason: PA sheet's tensile strength (approximately 60-90 MPa) and impact strength (approximately 50-100 kJ/m²) far exceed those of ordinary plastics. It also has a low coefficient of friction (static friction coefficient of 0.1-0.3) and wear resistance 3-5 times that of steel, reducing frictional losses in mechanical components and extending equipment life. For example, PA sheet is used to manufacture transmission gears in textile machinery, eliminating the noise and oil pollution associated with metal gears. PA sheet is used as a gasket in machine tool guide rails to cushion vibrations and reduce rail wear. Industrial Filtration/Sieving

PA sheet produced by PA sheet extruders is suitable for applications such as filter screens, filter plates, and separation membrane supports in the chemical, food, and mining industries.

The key advantage of PA sheet produced by PA sheet extruders: PA sheet can be laser-punched and etched into high-precision meshes (pore size 0.1mm-5mm). It is also resistant to acid and alkali corrosion (it can withstand most non-strongly oxidizing acids and alkalis, such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid with a concentration of ≤50%). It is suitable for applications such as chemical solution filtration and screening of food ingredients (such as flour and sugar), replacing rust-prone metal screens.

Pipe/Container Linings

PA sheet produced by PA sheet extruders is suitable for applications such as lining pipes for conveying granular materials (such as plastic granules and mineral powder) and as protective layers for the inner walls of storage tanks. Core reason: PA sheet has a smooth surface (surface roughness Ra≤0.8μm), is not easy to stick to materials, and is impact-resistant and scratch-resistant. It can prevent wear on pipes during particle conveying and avoid contamination caused by contact between materials and metal pipes (for example, food-grade PA sheet can be used in food particle conveying pipes).
