PVC Sheet Production Process

PVC Sheet Production Process

The PVC Blister Sheet Extruder Machine process centers on extrusion molding. Through four steps: raw material preparation - extrusion plasticization - three-roll shaping - and subsequent processing, PVC raw materials are processed into sheets with a certain degree of hardness and flatness.

Temperature, speed, and pressure are strictly controlled throughout the entire process to ensure uniform sheet thickness and a smooth surface.

Raw material formulation involves mixing base raw materials and additives in appropriate proportions based on the desired hardness and toughness of the sheet. This is a key step in determining sheet performance.

Base raw material: PVC resin powder (60%-80%) provides the sheet's basic structure.

PVC Blister Sheet Extruder Machine Key additives:

Plasticizers (such as DOP): Adjust the sheet's softness. A smaller amount (5%-10%) is added for hard lining sheets, while a higher amount (15%-25%) is added for soft lining sheets.

Stabilizers (such as calcium zinc stabilizers): Prevent decomposition and discoloration of PVC during high-temperature processing, ensuring production safety. Lubricants (such as stearic acid): Reduce friction between the raw materials and the equipment, ensure smooth extrusion, and enhance the surface gloss of the sheet.

Mixing Equipment: Use a high-speed mixer to mix the raw materials and additives at 80-120°C for 5-10 minutes to fully blend the raw materials and additives, forming a uniform dry blend.

PVC Blister Sheet Extruder Machine  Plasticizing: The mixed dry blend is fed into the extruder, where the high temperature and shear force of the screw transform the material from solid to molten to sheet.

Extruder Temperature Control: Heating is performed in three stages: the front section of the barrel (160-180°C), the middle section (180-200°C), and the die head (190-210°C). This ensures that the PVC is completely melted and does not decompose.

PVC Blister Sheet Extruder Machine  Molding and Forming: The molten PVC is extruded through a T-die to form a continuous sheet. The melt then enters the cooling and setting rollers (temperature 20-40°C) for rapid cooling and solidification, ultimately forming the initial sheet shape. Equipment: Three rollers adjust the roller spacing and speed to roll the pre-shaped sheet to the target thickness (typically 0.2-1.0mm, with 0.3-0.5mm common for garment linings), while also further improving surface smoothness.
